FILM AND TV HIGHER SCHOOLS HAVE FOUNDED AN ASSOCIATION

The South-Eastern European Regional Association of the Film and TV Higher Schools (SEEC) was founded in Sofia on the initiative of Prof. Stanislav Semerdjiev, Rector of the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts and Vice-President of the World Film and Television Schools Association   (CILECT). SEEC includes all national and some private Film and TV schools from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Turkey, Serbia and Croatia. The first agreement in the history of film education in the region was signed, which envisages joint students’ projects, development of international master’s and doctoral programmes, exchange of young academic lecturers,  creating a SEEC website and a common database of classic films heritage and pedagogic tools, and a yearly conference within the framework of the Students’ Film Festival “Early Bird”. Prof. Manuela Cernat, Vice-Rector of the National University of Dramatic and Film Art (UNATC) – Bucharest, Romania, was elected Coordinator of SEEC.
